Billy Joels første største hitsammensætning, der samler størstedelen af hans mest populære numre indtil 1983. To nye numre blev indspillet til dette album, "Du er kun menneskelig (Second Wind)" og "The Night Is Still Young", begge der blev "hits" i deres egne rettigheder.

Der findes flere versioner af dette album med ændrede sporoversigter. Den originale LP-version indeholder 1981-liveversionen af "Say Goodbye To Hollywood", "New York State Of Mind" med en genindspillet saxofonsolo og radioredigering af flere sange. Derudover erstattede nogle spørgsmål "Spørg mig ikke hvorfor" med "Ærlighed".

Cd-versionen af dette album tilføjer "Captain Jack", "The Entertainer", "Scenes from an Italian Restaurant" samt 1981-liveversionen af "She's Got a Way" og erstatter live-versionen af "Say Goodbye To Hollywood ”med den originale albumalbumversion fra 1976.
